UTILITY PROVIDERS

Water
Water is provided to those township residents using public water by the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County. Their address is US Route 30 West and South Greengate Road, P.O. Box 800, Greensburg, PA 15601-0800. Their telephone number is 724-864-0020 or toll free 800-442-6829.

Sewer
The Penn Township Sewage Authority handles the municipal sewer service in the township. Their address is 1032 Nike Site Road, Irwin, PA  15642, and their phone number is 724-744-4333.

Electric
Allegheny Power is the electric distributor in the township. Their address is 800 Cabin Hill Drive, Greensburg, PA 15606 and their toll-free telephone number is 800-255-3443.

Gas
Natural gas service is provided to township residents by several companies. See your local telephone book for more information.

Trash Collection and Recycling
Penn Township has recycling collection for clear, brown, or green glass; aluminum or bimetal cans; and plastic with the recycling symbol and any number. Trash is collected every Wednesday and recyclable items are collected every other Wednesday. (Place your items out Tuesday evening as they are collected very early Wednesday morning.) Waste Management is the refuse hauler for all residential garbage and recycling collection in Penn Township. They can be reached at 724-864-5166. Their address is 310 Ledger Road, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.

Newspapers, magazines, phone books, junk mail, and other paper (except corrugated cardboard) can be recycled by placing it in the bins near the pond at the municipal building park. Recycled paper is collected by PA CleanWays.

Cable Television
Comcast provides cable to township residents. They are located at 201 N. Tremont Avenue, Greensburg, PA 15601 and can be reached at 724-834-6990. Cable service in the township is handled through a franchise agreement.
