In addition to the recreational complex at the municipal building, Penn Township has five community playgrounds and will eventually have a new civic center that is currently under construction. The 1/4 acre Bushy Run American Legion Playground located on Riverside Drive in Claridge has a basketball court, sliding board, and swings. McCullough Elementary School Playground (1/4 acre) features a sliding board, swings, climbing and sliding tunnels, a sand area, benches, a climbing bar, crawling barrels, and a basketball hoop. The Sunrise Estates Playground was constructed in 1998 with approved playground equipment including cushion ground covering. This 1-1/2-acre playground features a climbing jungle, slide, swings, picnic tables, benches, ball field, and pavilion. The 1-1/4-acre Level Green Baseball Field Playground at Route 130 and Murrysville Roads in Level Green features a bocci court, a baseball field, bleachers, swings, picnic tables, and a horseshoe pit. The Level Green Elementary School Playground is a 3-acre area located on Cypress Court in Level Green. The playground was constructed in 1998 with approved equipment and cushion ground covering. It also features baseball fields, a climbing jungle, a sliding board, swings, bleachers, a basketball court, a batting cage, a pavilion, and a food stand with restrooms.
