ORGANIZED RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES Athletic Teams

Penn Township Fall Festival
Going into its second year, the Penn Township Fall Festival has
become an annual event bringing the community together. Food, games,
rides, music, fireworks, and a parade are all highlights of the

Summer
Playground
Supervised playground activities are held each year in several Penn Township area
playgrounds. Summer playground organizer is PTARC director, Cheryl Kemerer, 724-744-2171,
extension 205.
Penn-Trafford Community Band

The Penn-Trafford Community Band plays at various community days,
church festivals, organizational gatherings and special events
throughout the area. The community band is open to area residents of
any age and talent level who enjoy playing music and entertaining
audiences with musical selections. The P-T Community Band meets on
the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at
the Penn Middle School auditorium. For information, call Ron Rometo

Community Picnic
Penn Township holds a community picnic each year at Idlewild Park in
Ligonier. This event is usually held on the first Friday in August and is
announced in the community newsletter, The Penn Township Pipeline, and the
township's official newspaper, The Penn-Trafford News.
